MANASA GoldTM
Damp proof, Weather Proof Paint
100% Acrylic solvent based high performance multi-purpose specialty coatings.
Excellent adhesion whatever may be the surface.
These polymers promote adhesion between paint and wall, thus resisting attack from alkalis, acids and mould growth.
Acrylic resin particles being significantly smaller than most other resins (less than 1/100 micron ion diameter, MANASA Gold always penetrates more into the surface, anchoring the paint film to the wall and eliminating the risk of peeling or adhesion loss.
Breathing Easy
Masonry paint must meet two contradictory requirements – Acts a barrier on rain – Allow the release of moisture coming up from the ground by capillary action.
MANASA Gold paint films, based on MANASA Gold resins are micro-porous and act exactly like a skin. They are sufficiently impermeable to resist the penetration of rain water, yet thanks to their micro porous nature and excellent adhesion, allow entrapped moisture in the wall to escaped without blistering or adhesion loss.
All – Pervading Dirt
Dirt retention is high in all painted surfaces covered with conventional water based paints, for the following reasons
- They become tacky owing to action of water absorbed by the paint
- They soften in warm temperature
- They are chemically attacked by smog
MANASA Gold exterior flat paint, based on MANASA Gold, is totally water resistant, has high thermal softening point and is smog resistant. Therefore, the tendency to retain dirt is minimal and walls remain clean for years. Also, MANASA Gold resins have been specially developed to resist, in a controlled way, the damaging effects of the suns UV rays. A few microns of the surface paint are regularly eliminated by rain, removing any retained dirt. Preserving an appearance close to the original. Thus, MANASA Gold based of MANASA Gold is self –cleaning.
Out in the cold
Most normal exterior coatings cannot be applied at temperature below 5oC. In the case of MANASA gold exterior flat paint, based on MANASA Gold, drying and film formation is possible even at temperature as low as 20oC.
In the Blistering Heat
In summer, when temperatures reach as high as 45oC, masonry coating tend to dry too quickly, making brush or roller application very difficult. MANASA Gold is formulated to control drying for ease of application under all temperature conditions.
The uncertain vagaries of the weather… even rainy season
In uncertain weather, there is an inherent risk of a sudden shower spoiling a conventional paint application. Even after a few hours of application, rain can wash off a water-based system before it can completely dry and stabilize. MANASA Gold exterior flat paint, based on MANASA Gold, cannot be damaged by rain even as soon as 30 minutes after application.
Universal applicability
MANASA Gold is ideal for use over all kinds of substrates, brickwork, cement rendering, concrete, stone, stucco, plaster, etc.
Water, The main enemy
Water is the main aggressor, causing damage to exterior masonry paints, because it attacks water sensitive components present in the paint. All water-based paint contain water sensitive ingredients, hence, they become vulnerable to attack by water.
All dry paint film is irreparably damaged by water, resulting in the film failure, retention of dirt and mildew.
MANASA Gold exterior flat paint, is based on MANASA Gold and does not contain any water sensitive material, hence its water resistant property is superior when compared with water-based paints.
Mould Growth, the ugly predator
Water based paints contain certain ingredients that can be attacked by microorganisms like ugly mould growth. MANASA Gold exterior flat paint, based on MANASA Gold, does not contain any component that allows the growth of such microorganisms.
New for old… easily
Repainting is usually a cumbersome process, involving elaborate surface preparation in the case of most water passed paints, owing to their poor penetrating power. MANASA Gold exterior flat paint, based on MANASA Gold, needs minimum surface, due to it excellent penetrative ability and most of cases single coat application is sufficient
